In the winter term of 2015/2016 Prof. Valtin Wormbs offered a lecture, where the technologies of photography and 3D design had to be discovered. Our approach of this excersice is descriped on the right. This, however, was only the starting point of a very personal interest in learing more about Cinema 4D. Since attending the lecture a variety of work has been created in order to learn the software.
'Hopefully we will get a good result of the image.' – At times of analogue photography there were films with about 36 pictures. The film was expensive and the results were only visible after the development in a laboratory. A lot of things have changed since then, including technologie and trends.
Technology has drastically developed in the field of advanced photography and new tools have emerged. Through the use of 3D softwares and 3D scanners it is possible to create a photo-realistic image without having to use a camera.
Trends have also changed since the analogue photography. Colorful patterns and products of the 80s had long been overshadowed by minimalist design principals. In this series, however, we want to bring them back. With the use of todays advanced toolbox we would like to create a world, where a flat pattern of the 80s, for example, becomes alife within a 3D world.
